This map shows the Complete Area of the Beijing DongCheng District from its North-Eastern most Corner near YongHegong Lama Temple, to East Chang An Avenue in the South, to Nanhai, ZhongHai and Beihai at its western flank back to the Drum- and Bell-Towers in The North-West Corner. TiananMen Square, part of the DongCheng District is included, as well as Oriental Plaza Malls, Wanfujing Shopping Street and a number of other main monuments, hotels and official bureaus and agencies. In the extreme South-East Corner of DongCheng District Beijing Main Train Station is on this Map, as well as a number of China Post / EMS Offices. The DongCheng District has recently seen some major architectural changes with the addition of multiple modern
buildings at various sites, and the inclusion of a new Interior
East of TiananMen Square. However, the DongCheng
District is mostly planned to be preserved
in its current imperial splendor.
