Hi! from Doc Ben and Proud Staff
For all practical purposes, Ulaanbataar (UB) has but one Train Station. The Ulaanbataar Train Station is the largest and most important railway station in all of Mongolia. It is the nodal center for all national,
international traffic and regional train traffic in the enitire Nation. The Trans-Mongolian Railway, connecting between Beijing Main Station in the South and the Ulan Ude Station of the Trans-Siberian railroad in the North,  passes through Ulaanbataar (UB) Train Station.
International Airport at Ulan Bator - More information
Ulaanbaatar has a large Railroad Station, which is a major stop over on the Trans-Mongolian Railway. The Station is found in the western parts of the city.
In addition Ulaanbaatar (UB) also has a fully modern International Airport which lies just outside of- and to the south-west of the City center of Ulaanbataar at a relatively small distance of 18 kilometers (9+ miles).
At this time, all transport within the city is either by bus, taxi or private car. There are no subway lines, or tram lines in Ulaanbataar at current.

Although in spring and summer other modes of transport may be viable. In the cold extremes of winter prolonged exposure is found too uncomfortable by most.
Ulaanbataar is a large and widely built city, which by now has extensive suburbs. One can walk most of the city in comfort during the summer season. Combine your explorations with bus rides to the more remote locations in the east, west and north of the city.

Regional destinations such as the Airport, Boghd Khan Uul Mountain and National Park, the nearby city of Dzuunmod (Mongolian: Зуунмод; ᠵᠠᠭᠤᠨᠮᠣᠳᠤ) and others are usually reached by Bus. There are both regular bus lines and privately hired buses available to take you to your desired destination.

Ulaanbaatar International Airport is the largest and only truly international airport in the Republic of Mongolia. It is situated at about 18 kilometers southwest of the capital Ulaanbaatar. The Airport is open to various sorts of air traffic such as International Flights, Cargo operations, VIP flights, charter flights, general aviation and emergency landings.
Traveling time from City center to Airport and Vice Versa: around 20 minutes.

Transport to- and from Chinggis Khaan International Airport:
The airport is currently serviced by public buses, airport shuttle buses, and taxis. Most travelers prefer to reach their hotel or accomodation using a Taxi, however Bus services are frequent and convenient.

Since December 21 of 2005, the airport has been officially renamed "Chinggis Khaan" International Airport in honour of the 800th anniversary of Genghis Khan's official enthronement as "Emperor of Mongolia" (Great Khan).
The airport is the main base of operations for national carriers MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Eznis Airways and Aero Mongolia. All passengers have to travel the distance to the City to reach their hotel.
