Behind the grandiose and luxurious Hall of Harmony one finds the northern axis buildings of the Qianlong Garden, more officially known as the Yuhua Yuan, or Garden of Peaceful Longevity (or Peaceful Old Age).

A view of the previously secret or lost northern axis of the Qianlong Emperor in November of 2011. This part of The Forbidden City, had been hidden from the outside world for about 100 years. Having been under renovations since 2011, the secret garden has been open to the public since the 2015 season.
